18 Inch Gauge Hunslet 0-4-0 WARIL CLASS - GWEN
We are now taking orders for a small production batch of ready to run locos for delivery the second half of 2025. Orders will be filled in the order they are received.
In 1920, John Knowles & Co ordered a new locomotive to complement Jack. Hunslet offered a coal-fired Waril Class locomotive, which was named Gwen. The Waril Class had been designed for the War Department during World War I for use at the supply depot in Deptford on the Thames. Twelve oil-burning locomotives, delivered in 'khaki all over', were supplied based on the design of Hunslet's Jack under the contract code name Waril.
This locomotive is a detailed version which is gauge adjustable (32mm and 45mm), available as gas or coal-fired, and can be fitted with optional extras such as a working steam whistle, 3 channel radio control and SSP Slomo. Please order these through our Accessories page.
Full details are available on the WARIL CLASS Product Sheet
